	ALBUM JO PRIVAT Sheet book piano + figuring Jo Privat is the Parisian accordionist, who has for many years been the leading light of the Mecca of accordion dance music, “Le BALAJO”. For young accordionists, the “Great Jo” is a reference in terms of interpretation and stage appearance. For the older generation, the “National Jo” brings back many memories, particularly with respect to his great friendship with Django Reinhardt. Jo Privat has lived for many years without ever giving up his instrument. He has had the privilege of working alongside the greatest accordionists of the older generation. His compositions are still in the repertoires of a large number of accordionists and in the teaching manuals used by music teachers, both in France and in other countries.
	RECUEIL ALAIN MUSICHINI Sheet book piano + figuring Alain Musichini was born on the 8th July 1962 in Avignon. He took an interest in music at a very early age; he started playing the accordion at the age of six and then studied music. He takes great care with his playing, so that his group has a maximum of “punch”; His audacity and his hard work to achieve his ends go some way to explain his success, a success which has been borne out by his winning the World Accordion Cup in the United States, before he started winning other awards. 	RECUEIL ARMAND LASSAGNE Sheet book piano + figuring Borned in 1934 in Montrouge, Armand LASSAGNE belongs to the category musicians who did not hesitate to perfect their training, to face up to all situations. It was studio musician and performer in large variety of orchestras. He played in all public places, ballrooms, hotels, breweries, dances, cruises .... Recognized as a formidable composer melodist and outstanding, it is one of the representatives of the big family the Musette as well as a Tony Murena, Gus Viseur or Jo Privat. Excellent teacher taught Armand LASSAGNE in various academy of music brilliantly demonstrating that the MUSETTE can be listened also provided to demand a real artistic quality and a musical perfection.
	RECUEIL BRUNO LORENZONI Sheet book piano + figuring Bruno Lorenzoni wrote his first musical composition at the age of 8, and he was accredited as a composer by being admitted to the SACEM (the French equivalent of the Performing Rights Society) at the age of 16 years. He completed his musical education by studying harmony, counterpoint and fugue, and won two major music prizes, that of the King of Belgium and the President of the French Republic’s prize. He also won the Paris Worl competition. Bruno Lorenzoni is a figurehead of accordion playing. He plays with energy and elation. He is a perfectionist in his work, without being punctilious. There is a sort of searing intensity in his playing; the accordion becomes an outlet for his emotions!
	RECUEIL CLAUDE BARBOTTIN Sheet book piano + figuring Claude Barbottin was admitted to the SACEM (=PRS) as a composer in 1955. He plays several instruments: accordion, bandoneon, and flute, and he won successively the first prizes in the Limousin and Pays Nantais competitions, to name but two. Claude Barbottin is at ease with all types of music, for example rhythmic numbers like “La Chocolata” or romantic slow ballads like “Ballade pour une poupée” (Ballad for a Doll). His compositions are full of emotion and sensitivity.
	RECUEIL CLAUDE BERSOUX Sheet book piano + figuring Claude Bersoux started to play the accordion at the age of 8, and at 14 he was playing for local dances. In 1953, he got to know some bandleaders and was hired to play in dance halls. At the age of 17 he fell in love with Argentinean tangos and learned to play the bandoneon. In 1954 he worked for a season in the casino at Salins-les-Bains and then in the Perros Guirec casino. In 1958 he had the good fortune to meet the flautist Lou Gamme, and he played in his band for 6 years. During the same period, he joined the teaching staff of the Champigny music school and for 17 years gave lessons when not giving gala performances. Then he started up his own band with six musicians and toured France for 8 years. Since then, he has given over more of his time to teaching.
	RECUEIL DOMI EMORINE Sheet book piano + figuring Domi Emorine is a child prodigy who was “thrown” into a very difficult profession. Between 1983 and 1989 she won 24 prizes. In 1990, when she had not yet reached 15 years of age, she won the World Accordion Championship and the UNAF prize. In 1991, she won the Silver Medal. In 1993 she was awarded the SACEM medal in the “ Voice and wind” category. In 1997, Domi Emorine once again won the World Championship, and also did something unique in the annals of accordion playing by winning the “Grand concours international en divertissements et variétés” (International Entertainment and Variety Show Contest) for the third time. The same year she also won the First Prize at the International Contest in Klingenthal, thus becoming the only lady accordionist to have won the three most prestigious international contests.
	RECUEIL ERIC BOUVELLE Sheet book piano + figuring Eric Bouvelle has won a large number of medals including that of the 1988 World Accordion Championship. At that time the SACEM (=PRS) board of directors awarded him the prestigious prize for the best wind instrument player, both for jazz and for popular dance music. Eric Bouvelle is proud to have two famous people who helped him along: Jo Privat, with whom he wrote his first composition in 1987, “Valse en Couleurs” (Colourful Waltz), and Maurice Larcange, with whom his collaboration was very prolific, and ho got him into the “prodigies” team at the age of 16. Amongst his recent compositions there is one of his best:, the waltz entitled “Coeur de Français” (A Frenchman‘s Heart), written in collaboration with Bruno Lorenzoni.
	RECUEIL JEAN-MARC TORCHY Sheet book piano + figuring Jean-Marc Torchy can play everything from classical music to light dance music, and including all types of folk music. He has worked with Marcel Azzola and Joël Rossi; the latter taught him about chromatic bass lines and the classical repertory. Winner of the President of the French Republic’s prize and the World Cup in Hamburg, Jean-Marc Torchy has become famous as a concert musician. With the Quatuor Chevalier (Chevalier Quartet) he has been a part of the appearance of the accordion on the classical music scene. He is also a qualified music teacher in the French educational system, besides teaching in music schools and composing.
	RECUEIL MANU MAUGAIN Sheet book piano + figuring Manu Maugain started playing the accordion at the age of 11. In 1991 he won the UNAF French Cup and the President of the French Republic’s first prize, which meant that he also received the SACEM prize the same day. In 1994, he started writing a specific method for accordion playing, in two volumes, with a Preface by Marcel Azzola. This has become the method the most used in France by music teachers. Manu Maugain also performs in many galas, both in France and in other countries.
	RECUEIL MAURICE LARCANGE Sheet book piano + figuring Everybody knows Maurice Larcange. His enormous talent and his extreme kindness are the root causes of his popularity. By conviction and out of love for his profession he has given a great deal in the teaching field on a national scale. For young accordionists, he is the man sent by Providence, in that he set up the “Young Prodigies of the Accordion”. Some of these youngsters have become stars in their own right in France and other countries, and have won numerous awards. Maurice Larcange is hence not unrelated to the renewal of interest in accordion music in France; he keenly champions the causes of the Accordion and of the Chanson Française (French style of popular songs). Besides all this, he is one of the best players, thanks to his hard work and determination, besides his artistic qualities.
	RECUEIL RICO TRUXILLO Sheet book piano + figuring Trained as an organist and pianist, Rico Truxillo was born on the 29th April 1918, and is a very good composer, a concert musician, an improviser, an accompanist, an excellent songwriter and a high-class orchestrator. Before becoming one of the very best of contemporary tango composers and players, Rico Truxillo led a first-rate Latin American band. Then he started on a long tour of gala performances in the major European capital cities, before settling down in Paris. Apart from the originality of his melodies, Rico Truxillo has a very personal style, which doesn’t stop him from being wide-ranging in his themes. This can be more fully understood on the basis of “Tango in the Rain”, “Malambo de Paris” or “Hoy” and “Voz”.
	RECUEIL TITO FUGGI Sheet book piano + figuring Tito Fuggi is an eclectic composer, writing tangos in different styles and also other types of music ranging from music-hall style to background music. When he was 17 years of age, he was the bandoneon player in the LIDO orchestra, and at age 20 he joined the CAMARO orchestra as 1st bandoneon, for an international tour. Tito Fuggi then joined the Ray MASSE orchestra which played at the “Moulin Rouge”, “Les Ambassadeurs” and the “Olympia”. Then he was asked to join the famous Quintin Verdu, at a time when tangos were hitting the high spots. Verdu was at the piano, and he took on three of the best bandoneon players, generally known as “the three Fs”: Fuggi, Feijoo and Ferrari; this was one of the most enjoyable periods of his life. For 20 years he had his own band, but then he became an accompanist for star performers as a string bass player and writer of the orchestrations for their recordings.
